... (The DQ version)
Three Things.
I felt like creating my own blog on another site, I don't want to break our Random Blog Rule, so I made another (sometimes non-Bakugan-related) blog here. Any Admin can join in if they want, they just have to give me their email address and I'll invite them.
It's a bit of a journal-ish, diary-ish blog reflecting my personal opinions on stuff that happens on the Wiki, some ideas I have, etc. Trust me, I have a lot to say. But anyways, I digress ...
I saw on another Wiki that the people decided to, instead of having a gigantic gallery at the bottom of each page, make a separate sub-page that holds the gallery for the characters (for example, Marvel Wiki's example of a character gallery). I thought, "If we make a 'Sample Gallery' on…
*Whew* Lots of Background Editing
What do I mean by "Background"? Well, pretty much, that means that they're edits that aren't seen in the Wiki Activity. I did some clean up on the Double Redirects (half of them are blog posts), and I updated the Bakugan Wiki:Administrators page, like adding two other Admins (AOH and myself) and adding the times of promotion.
Also, I have two of the forms I promised to make in my previous blog, the Adminship and the Policy Forms.
Adminship Form
New Policy Form
Please note that you have to type these out in your email. You can't edit it.
So for those who are interested, I suppose you can email them to me (dinoqueen.wang@gmail.com), and I'll figure out a way to contact the other Administrators by email.
Two Things
FYI, I really hate posting titles as "Two Things". Don't ask. It's a very personal pet peeve.
Anybody notice that when you click on an image, there are these buttons that say "Email", "Embed" and "Share"? I think that's pretty cool.
I'm not sure if bakugan.wikia@gmail.com covers this, but I think that the Admins and Bureaucrats should have an email group. If there's an Admin applicant, they should email it to a general group of Admins, and whoever is in charge of that sends it to the individual Admins' email. And then, all the Admins discuss it behind the curtains (in private), like we do now.
Also, sometimes, people come up with new Policies. I think that the Admins should discuss Policies behind the curtains first, fix up any problems or co…
So, a Little FYI about being Sued ...
I saw that User:Eandeavor3 was complaining about how SpinMaster was supposedly going to sue us (which happened like, 5+ months ago), and some people were saying that they can't sue us because they don't own us.
I have no clue what they're saying, but the reason the can sue us is because they don't own us. I mean, if they owned us, they'd just shut us down, right?
So here are some things that people said, which, unfortunately for us, are wrong.
1. "It's their fault for letting those pictures online."
- Actually, it's our fault for using those pictures. They can put anything online and sue people for using them. It's almost like being an art thief. Steal something from DeviantArt and say that it's their problem for putting it online; the artist will …
Okay ...
I think we need a better images policy.
Somebody (not saying who) just posted like, 24 fan pictures of her fan characters and their relationships; some of them aren't even Bakugan-related. I'm not sure about others, but this just bugs me. I mean, this isn't a Fanon Wiki, not matter what you think.
Personally, we should leave fan pictures for Fanon Wikis, and we have to make it clear that this isn't just a free-for-all, post whatever pictures you want because you'll put it on your profile. Sure, your User Page allows you to put whatever you want, but just having fan pictures on a non-Fanon Wiki looks plain weird and out-of-place.
So pretty much: Keep the Bakugan Wiki canon. No fanon. Leave pictures as screenshots or images of real-life Bakugan t…
