We seem to need a reminder ...
It seems as though people aren't reading their Policies~ ...
Removing a warning results in an instantaneous one-month block.
I find it rather quite hilarious that people actually want to remove warnings from their Talk Page. First, because they'll get a one-month block, no (extra) warnings necessary. Secondly, what is the point in removing it? We (the Admins) will see it, one way or another.
We could always check it through the Wiki Activity; 97% of the time, if a user edits their talk page after receiving a warning, it's to remove that warning. Secondly, there's something called the History, that we actually do check to see if you tried removing any of your warnings.
Oh, and I've already blocked two people this week for removing warnings.
Long story…
Project: Benefactor System
I was talking to several of the Admins, and we agreed on an idea that I dub the "Benefactor System". It'll pretty much be a continuation/offshoot of the Mentor System we had used before, which failed in epic proportions.
- 1 Goal of the Benefactor System
- 2 So ... What is a Benefactor?
- 2.1 Qualifications for Benefactor
- 3 How to get a Benefactor
- 4 How to Become a Benefactor
The goal of the Benefactor System is to ensure that, in case of trouble or emergencies, or for day-to-day life, a user will have AT LEAST one person to turn to on the Wiki. It is also to make our Community more tightly-knit, which (I am hoping) will decrease the tendencies for harassment and/or unintentional rudeness.
A Benefactor will support their Receiver whenever necessary, and the…
Policies Update
Due to several fights that have been occurring on the Wiki as well as some Policies that we felt to be too relax, I made some edits to the Policies (after reviewing them with several other users).
From now on, if a fight (one where users are yelling at each other because they're angry; play-brawls don't count) begins on the Chat or the IRC and becomes too serious, both sides of the argument will be blocked. Those trying to break up a fight or are witnesses will not be punished.
Also, if someone is kicked from the IRC and then immediately re-joins, they will be blocked and kicked from the Wiki in accordance to the Bakugan Wiki:Blocking Policy.
From now on, instead of 15 blocks before a perma-block, a user will be perma-blocked after 7 legitimate…
Community Update: Message Walls + New Headers
I tried out the Message Wall on the Community Test Wiki, and I can say that it's not that bad. I still prefer talk pages, though :/. Also, an early head's up, the Nickname that you put down in your profile is going to be the "Primary Name" in the Message Wall, so if you have something like, "MY PET HAMSTER IS FRANK", your name on the Message Wall will be, "MY PET HAMSTER IS FRANK".
Also, some users have already noticed the new headers, which we also don't have. If you're wondering why we don't have it, it's because we didn't apply for it :P. We'll be receiving it in due time, however.
And before I forget, Admins, we need to make a rough schedule about when we're going to be on, so people know who to contact that'll get their message the quic…
