Good news, bad news, and Thankskicking
Strap yourselves in, this is going to be a long one...
I first want to thank our admins, especially DQ and GamingFanatic, for keeping this wiki nice and tidy while I've been away. It's amazing that for a nearly ten-year-old Wiki, we still have dedicated users to watch over it.
So the reason for my absence is a list of reasons. Not included in this list, however, is that I became disinterested in the Wiki. I still wish to improve this wiki as much as possible, and there's still a ton to do.
The reasons I haven't been on:
- My schedule has been packed, and I haven't had any free time to work on the wiki.
- I now have a much more limited amount of internet available, so I have to ration it through the month.
- Something (it could be router placement, the…
About the merge...
I want to start off by saying I apologize for having everyone's work deleted. This was not at all my intention, I was planning on having all the stories and content from the Fan-Fiction Wiki transferred over to the Fanon Wiki. My failure to see how that process works is my mistake.
So, recently, the Bakugan Fan-Fiction Wiki was merged into the Fanon Wiki. Perhaps you saw the blogs about it. My mistake was that I had assume that by merge, it meant that the content would be merged into the surviving wiki. Turns out, by merge, they mean "merging communities". To merge content, you have to do a Special:Export/Import yourself.
I am currently trying to reach Staff about this problem. Since it's late, it most likely will be tomorrow that I will hea…
Possibly merging the Fan-Fiction Wiki with the Fanon Wiki
Note: This more relates to the Bakugan Wiki community as whole, dealing with other Wikis outside of this one.
Currently, we have two pretty much Bakugan fan-fiction Wikis, the Bakugan Fan-Fiction Wiki and the Bakugan Fanon Wiki. Both these wikis are pretty much dead, and cover nearly, if not the exact same subject, Bakugan Fan-Fiction.
I'd like to propose, and get everyone's opinion on, merging the Fan-Fiction Wiki into the Fanon Wiki, in preparation for the new reboot.
Q: What rights do you have on these Wikis?
A: I have admin and crat rights on all three Wikis (Bakugan, Bakugan Fan-Fiction, Bakugan Fanon).
Q: Why merging into the Fanon Wiki?
A: It's not a 100% sure thing, but the reasons I have are that it's older, by about a year, and that i…
You may have noticed something different...
This is just a quick update blog to tell you that we, the Bakugan Wiki, have switched over to message walls. Hopefully these will be quicker and easier to use than talk pages were, as nostalgic as they may be. However, the same policies that applied for talk pages, apply for Message Walls.

Giving the Wiki a facelift
So, according to estimates (and again, these are estimates), the Bakugan reboot may happen next year, in 2018. This, coincidentally, would coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Wiki.
Now, as thankful as I am for us having someone like Kelly come through and give this Wiki a makeover, I've been thinking about giving this Wiki another facelift. It's been five years since we've had one, and the current theme is geared more towards the release of BakuTech, again something that happened five years ago.
This isn't a blog post asking for volunteers. I can ask the Community Development team for that. It's more a blog post to throw out an idea I had, as well as see others' ideas.
The idea I had is to create six themes, one centered around each att…
