• This episode marks the first time that The Bee hologram messenger device was used.
• The battle had constant interference. In the beginning, Gus Grav and Dan Kuso are battling, then Spectra Phantom appears and introduces himself, in the middle of the brawl. Finally Shun Kazami make his appearance just when Gus starts losing and Spectra takes advantage against Dan.
• When Gus sets his Gate Card, he says: “Gate Card, Open!” and when he opens it, he says: “Ability, activate! Subterra reactor!”
• Had Shun not arrived to aid Dan, Gus and Spectra would have most likely won and taken Drago from Dan.
• This is the first episode to hint at Spectra's disloyalty towards Hydron.
• This is the first time Spectra had ever lost a battle in his life.
• This episode marks the beginning of Dan and Spectra's rivalry which lasts for a majority of the season before ending in Spectra's Last Stand.
• This is the first time where Spectra is shown launching his Bakugan.
