Etymology
The Kanji in the Japanese name of Ogre Leoness, 皇 (Goon: ō/ Kan'on: kō/ Kun: kimi, sumeragi), means emperor, whose Kan'on is as same as its owner's first name. "Ogre" may be derived from the Japanese for imperial fang, 王牙 (ouga).
Trivia
- Ogre Leoness was once named 'Three Tiger' (サンコ, Sanko?)[1] tentatively, which may be derived from the fact that it is Leoness's third variation and that it is called Liger in its first variation.
