Mia Ono (小野 美亜, Ono Mia) is one of the main characters of Bakugan (2023) who first appears in Episode 01.
Appearance[]
Mia has two distinct appearances that she's able to switch between by simply touching her hairclip that's actually some special tech that Griffin made for her.
In her main appearance, her brawling outfit, she has short pink hair with a blue hairclip to one side. She wears a blue jumper with the design of a cat with mismatched eyes (one is an x and the other is a heart) on it that hangs off one shoulder and wears a purple top and shorts underneath. She has bright pink knee high boots and wears blue eyeshadow. On one wrist she wears a pink bracelet with golden spikes on, which is shown in episode one to be able to be used as a communications device for Mia to talk with Griffin and Dan. It can also be assumed that Mia wears blush in this appearance.
In her other appearance, her school uniform, her hair is black and her hairclip turns grey. She wears a white blouse with a blue blazer with yellow buttons over the top and wears a skirt that goes down to her ankles and mostly covers up her brown boots, this skirt also has a yellow button on it. She's shown in this appearance holding a light blue purse that she keeps Ventri's Bakuball inside.
In both of her appearances Mia has light skin and purple eyes.
Personality[]
In the video "Who is Mia? Everything We Know So Far Episode 3" From the Bakugan Official YouTube Channel, the narrator describes Mia as a "super-strategic, super-intellegent member of the Misfit Clan". We're also told that Mia is competetive, doesn't give up and never stops trying.
In this same video, Mia is shown to have different sides to her personality that she shows depending on who she's around, one of which being described as "a parent-pleasing, straight-a student" which is apparently a side of her mainly only seen at home and in school. This side of her seems to mainly be shown alongside her dark haired appearance.
It's heavily implied that Mia has a rebellious streak, as in this video we see clips of her from unknown episodes lying to her parents about her plans for the day and we're told that her parents would be shocked to learn that their daughter was involved in Bakugan Brawling.
Mia sometimes jokes around and likes to tease her friends as seen in episode 1, Fire in the Sky, with Dan and Griffin.

Season 1[]
Fire In The Sky.[]
Mia's first appearance in the series is at school with Dan and Griffin during Dan's explanatory flashback to one year ago to when the Bakugan first appeared, she's doing a handstand whilst the two boys are sat on the grass, the three are talking and joking about how Dan's life has been unfocused lately. When the Bakugan land on Earth, Mia seems suprised and a little wary of them but also makes fun of Griffin for calling them space parasites. It's implied that Mia quickly warmed up to Bakugan as Dan says "Mia and Ventri were as close as Drago and me." During a battle between Drago and Ventri, Mia teases Dan by saying Drago can't win if he can't catch Ventri and calls them both slowpokes whilst sticking her tounge out. In the present time we see Mia with Griffin and Ventri watching Dan and Drago battle against Nillious.
Ready To Rampage[]
In this episode we first see Mia when Tia Dee tries to interview Drago about how he became giant, during this interview Mia replies to Ventri asking what Dan's doing with "Oh, just being more annoying than usual." Later we see Mia again when she first manages to pair with Ventri, allowing her Bakugan partner to grow giant, at first she's excited about this but after Ventri accidentally damages some railings and knocks a bench into a lake looks embarrassed as she says her parents are going to kill her. Mia goes to meet Dan and Griffin at the park and after she discovers Dan is watching that news report with him in again, makes fun of him for that a little before challenging him to a Bakugan Brawl. Before the two get to battle though, they're interrupted by the mayor's son, Chip, who Mia reacts to with annoyance. Then that's interrupted again by some Bakugan rampaging. Mia is the first to spot their Brawlers, after talking to them, Dan and Mia decide to take action. Mia and Ventri try to battle Octogon, during said battle, Mia falls off Ventri's back but manages to flip in midair and land safely on the roof of a random building, she then gets a call from Griffin who gives her an update about what's happening on Dan's side of the fight. Mia and Dan then work together to defeat Octogon, during this battle Mia calls for Ventri to use piercing feathers. Once the battle ends, Mia comments how it was a close battle. At the end of the episode, Mia is seen watching the news about how Brawling has been made illegal with Dan, Griffin, Drago and Ventri.

- Dan Kouzo - Dan and Mia are close friends. In their first scene together Mia is shown teasing Dan about how unfocused he is. When Dan tries to say he has his life under control, Mia jokingly asks him "Really? Last week you missed your science test." Dan just shrugs and says he already explained to her that he'd just forgot what day it was. Mia appears worried for Dan when he runs over to look at the thing that had fallen from the sky. Throughout the first episode, the two are often shown making lighthearted fun of each other but despite all their teasing we also see how well they work together during their battle against the rampaging Octogon and Spindra.
- Griffin Tessly - Griffin and Mia are close friends. Griffin sometimes has to break up the lighthearted bickering beteween Dan and Mia. Mia sometimes makes fun of Griffin lightheartedly for things such as his space parasite comment. Griffin is the first to check if Mia's okay after she falls off Ventri's back during the battle against Octogon and even though Griffin isn't able to fight alongside her and Dan, he watches out for them both during the fight and giving them information to help them in the battle. It's also been confirmed that Griffin was the one to invent and make Mia's hairclip device that allows her to change her appearance at will, him inventing something to help her out shows the closeness of their friendship.
