I've read the concerns you brought up. I think if you watched my activity on several wikis, you most likely also have seen that I was doing far more than just checking the WAM score. As well none of the wikis where I hold bureaucrat powers I have left. Instead I'm still editing there, sometimes more sometimes less. Tenkai Knights for instance has been over for four years and I'm still there. Scan2Go and Beast Saga already were over in 2013 and I haven't turned inactive. I also have been a bureaucrat on Medabots, Spider Riders and Speed Racer Wiki for several years and am still active there. Not to mention I'm currently the most active bureaucrat out of three on Zoids Wiki, a wiki about a franchise which is currently hot and also am doing far more than just checking the WAM Score such as creating articles about recent episodes. The same I will also do here, when Armored Alliance has started. It also depends on the activity the wiki in question has, if almost nobody is editing it, there is not much need to be active. In fact I even have seen active wikis, where several bureaucrats haven't edited for months, like Beyblade Wiki. The features I add to my wikis are by no means unnecessary, but are intended to increase the activity further, in particular for the time the wiki in question has a high degree of activity. This account has been connected to me for several years and I have been the only one to use it for a longer time. Back in December 2008, when the Moviejunkie2009 account was created on YouTube I also have put a lot of effort in it.
I apologize for my comments: That was not the place for them, nor should I have gotten emotional about it. Having spent a good amount of years on this site, I still feel attached to it, even though I have technically left it.
I have understanding for your feelings. Earlier this year when I adopted Zoids Wiki with another user, there also was an admin who felt that attached to his wiki, that he expressed concerns about the adoption and didn't want to share his powers with other users. Ultimately he became bureaucrat along with me and the other user who adopted the wiki. For you it's even more difficult as you are no longer a bureaucrat, while he finally became it thanks to the adoption. However, I think this wiki now has an experienced new bureaucrat, who is here to stay and not going to abandon it, in particular since Bakugan is still hot and me also having a history of taking care of long-dead wikis. I might have some ideas for wikis, with which you disagree, but I still want the best for them and am not after wikis like they were "trophies" and instead want to help them.
Hi Abce, there is an user known as Slickaroo, who inserts false information into articles. Unfortunately Ninja72 has demoted himself and left this wiki some time ago. It might be good if another bureaucrat is appointed.
Been a while since we spoke, eh? I don’t know if your still active here or not, but I was watching the reboot and noticed instead of abilities, Bakugan just call out attacks. Was wondering if that could be good info to add.
I am not longer editing this wiki. Instead, I am editing the independent fan-run fork located at bakugan.wiki. If you wish to talk about editing, please contact me either there or on Discord, I cannot discuss it here due to restrictions in FANDOM'S Terms of Service.
Re: The Mira discussion on Discord a few weeks/months back, should we change all instances of Mira Clay and Keith Clay to Mira Fermin and Keith Fermin? It seems we extrapolated "Clay" from Professor Clay and it was never used for Mira and Keith in-show. (Japanese version also clarifies that Professor Clay's name is Clay Fermin.)
I couldn't find any other sources for Mira Clay and Keith Clay, unless I'm missing something, so it seems it was just a misconception that quickly spread.
Yeah, totally. It's been a crazy week, I just had to drop the wiki entirely.
While you're moving the pages, could you check Whatlinkshere to see if there's any remaining pagelinks? I'm about to head out, so if there's a large number of them just let me know and I'll take care of it tonight.
Yeah, there seems to still be a number of links still going to Mira Clay instead of Mira Fermin. There's also some linking to [[Mira]], should we change those instances to [[Mira Fermin|Mira]] or just plain Mira Fermin?
Since we're on the topic of making wide changes, I recently merged the Apexeon 2 page into Apexeon, under the impression that it was just art he put a "2" on. However, I've noticed two things. One, it doesn't really match up with its BD sprite, which doesn't mean much, granted. But the image also mentions Season 4, while Apexeon came it in Season 3. Now, I'm not really sure if I should unmerge it or just keep it like it is.
I'm doing some code/link-related cleanup on the Battle sections of character articles, and had another idea. Right now, some characters have really long tables (hello, Dan, Marucho, and Shun), and having both a subheading for each season plus the name in the table seems a bit redundant.
I think it might be better to get rid of the subheading and only have the separate tables, and have the tables be collapsible. See User:DQueenie13/Random#Battles as a sample (using Julie's page as comparison).
Cool, will do when I get time. I'm really backed up this week until Thursday.
By the way, I noticed on the Log Horizon Wiki you mentioned translation tools. I'm possibly going to start doing some Japanese card articles when I get time, would any of the tools you use possibly help with me translating some cards?
I did? I mainly use Google Translate, Jisho, and Weblio as machine translations/dictionaries. For grabbing text off images, I use Capture2Text. My Japanese is practically nonexistent, but I can get a serviceable enough translation to decipher from it. Of course, usually I have to restructure/rewrite parts of it to have it make sense in real English.
(Note, Weblio is a Japanese website and so, for the most part, its translations are a bit more accurate than Google Translate's. You want to hit the right orange button above the text input box for a JP > EN translation.)
I noticed you archived your userpage as I seem to have been following it for some reason. How do I do this myself? Does it require admin privileges? If so can you archive it for me? It's old and embarrassing (seriously I don't even remember writing most of it and it really feels like a completely different person wrote most of it even though it was in fact me) and probably doesn't hold up to the standards of the revamp you're doing but I understand the importance of archival so I don't want to just wipe it.
