The Battle Brawlers in the intro

  • Runo Misaki : Runo is a tomboy who loves playing Bakugan with people that have skills to show off. She also helps her parents run their family restaurant.
  • Marucho Marukura : An extremely rich boy who is very generous and intelligent, a bit like a walking encyclopedia. He loves to play Bakugan and he also likes to work on strategies. He used to be very obedient to his parents just because he wanted to please them, but that changed when he met the Brawlers. He now has no regrets for the past, realizing that he only wanted to make his parents happy.
  • Julie Makimoto (Julie Hayward): Julie is a girl who tries to stay happy even when the worst has happened; her acting happy after something bad happened is generally just to hide up her true feelings. Julie forgets things easily, proving that she is a little scatterbrained at times.
  • Shun Kazami : Shun is the former first-ranked Bakugan Brawler who later moves down to sixth position, and then up to third position. He is a master of Bakugan, and is also Dan's childhood friend. Shun is a loner, a boy of very few words, yet is willing to help his friends at every turn almost.
  • Alice Gehabich : A girl from Moscow who knows almost everything about Bakugan; usually, she just gives advice to the brawlers rather than brawl herself. She is also the granddaughter of Michael Gehabich.

  • Spectra Phantom: Spectra is part of the evil Vexos organization and the leader in the first arc. He is mysterious and wears a mask, battling with the Pyrus attribute. Despite Hydron's instructions to bring him Drago, Spectra seems to have plans of his own for Drago, and is obsessed with making the ultimate Bakugan. He is suspicious and it seems as if he is going to betray Prince Hydron shown in Return of a Friend. In Unmasked, Mira's suspicions of Spectra prove to be true when he removes his mask and is, in fact, Mira's brother, Keith. In Brotherly Love, Viper Helios gets upgraded to Cyborg Helios. In Final Countdown, the Vexos ditched him and set the palace on self destruct mode. He managed to escape with the help of Gus Grav. In Spectra Rises, Cyborg Helios was upgraded to Helios MK2. He now is working to take the Perfect Core energy from Drago and take over all of Vestal. Spectra temporarily joined with the Brawlers after Gus' disappearance. After losing one more battle against Dan, he joins the Bakugan Battle Brawlers as Keith Clay and only disguises when he's in battle.
  • Gus Grav: A macho Subterra Brawler who is powerful in battle. He is very loyal to Spectra and Spectra only and is willing to do anything for him as shown by his urging not to remove his mask as part of his deal with Mira Clay, and is helping him take the Perfect Core energy. In Spectra Rises, he upgraded Vulcan to Rex Vulcan. After learning of the Vexos' plan to betray Spectra, Gus rescued Brontes and Elico (who were thrown out by Mylene Farrow) and saves him and Helios before the Vexos Motherpalace explodes. After feeling that his master was insulted by Zenoheld, Gus let his loyalty get to him as he challenged Zenoheld to a battle to defend Spectra's honor. Elico and Hexados sacrifice themselves to protect Gus and Vulcan, while the two stand and face Zenoheld's final attack together. He is presumed dead but is later revealed to have survived his battle with Zenoheld and has been imprisoned since.

Vexos[]

  • Zenoheld (Deceased): The King of the Vestals and Prince Hydron's father; he aims to rule the Bakugan. As the Resistance continues foiling his plans, his revenge becomes ever more extreme. • Guardian Bakugan: Farbros (Deceased)

After being disowned by Zenoheld between the first and second arcs, Hydron has become the Vexos' Subterra brawler to redeem himself in the eyes of his father.
    • Guardian Bakugan: Dryoid (Dryad) (Deceased)
