The following are the Gate Cards used in the anime:

Season 1

The Gate Cards from the first season consists of Attribute, Character, and Command Cards. These are the following:

Attribute Cards

  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): This Gate Card gives an increase of 30, 50, 70, 80, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, or 500 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 30 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 50 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 70 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 80 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 100 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 150 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 200 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 250 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 300 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • Attribute Normal (G-Power Boost): Adds 500 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.

Character Cards

  • Character: Doubles any Bakugan's Power Level if it is the correct corresponding Bakugan for the card and doubles any ability effects that add to the corresponding Bakugan's Power Level.

Command Cards

  • Additional Task: The last Bakugan to be placed on the Gate Card is sent back to the player, but allows the owner of the Bakugan sent back to throw another Bakugan.
  • Anastasis (Androstasis): All of the user's defeated Bakugan are able to be used again.
  • (Attribute) Hazard: Turns all Bakugan on the Gate Card to the Attribute you said.
  • Battle Sham (Japanese version: Stray Shot): Automatically defeats the opponent's Bakugan on another Gate Card if there are two Bakugan from the same team on the card.
  • Biohazard (Switchback, Aqua Merge): Turns every Bakugan on the field except Subterra to the Aquos Attribute.
  • Cheering Battle (Japanese version: Sharing Battle): Allows another Bakugan to come into battle, and adds to your first Bakugan the 10s number from the second Bakugan's Power Level.
  • Double Battle: Forces both players to add in an additional Bakugan.
  • Energy Merge (Energy Grab): Transfers 100 Gs from the last Bakugan that stand on the card to the first one.
  • Fair Hands: Places a previously used Gate Card from both players onto the field, negating the effects of any Command Cards brought back.
  • Final Judgment: The Bakugan with a different Attribute than the Gate Card's user automatically has their power reduced to 0.
  • Forcement Wind (Reinforcement): Your Bakugan's Power Level increases by 100 Gs for every Bakugan on the field with the same attribute (not including the Bakugan on this Gate Card).
  • Gate Close: All Bakugan on the field, regardless of what Gate Card they are on, are returned to their owners.
  • Grand Spirit: Adds 50 Gs to your Bakugan for every Gate Card on the field.
  • Hyper Merge: Transfers 100 Gs from the opponent to your Bakugan for each Bakugan you have on the field.
  • Intercept: Stops two Bakugan from brawling, and moves on to the next player's turn. If another Bakugan is added to this card, the opponent's Bakugan battles the Bakugan that was just thrown in.
  • Joker's Wild (Japanese version: Devil's Judgment): Automatically defeats the opponent if the user's Bakugan is Darkus.
  • Level Down (Level One): Subtracts 100 Gs from the opponent if it has 400 Gs or more.
  • Magma Fuse: After the battle is over, every Gate Card and Bakugan on the field are sent back to their owners.
  • Mine Ghost: When two Bakugan stand on the card, no matter which side they are on, they both lose.
  • Peacemaker: Returns all battling Bakugan on this Gate Card to their player's arsenal.
  • Positive Delta: Subtracts 200 Gs from any Light Bakugan (Pyrus, Aquos, and Haos) the opponent uses. If it is used against a Dark Bakugan (Ventus, Subterra, and Darkus), your Bakugan loses 200 Gs instead.
  • Quartet Battle: The battle is placed on hold until there are four Bakugan on the field.
  • Quicksand Freeze (Frozen Quicksand): The Bakugan that wins on this Gate Card remains on it without being removed.
  • Reloaded: Transfers 100 Gs from all of your other Bakugan on the field to your Bakugan on this Gate Card. The 100 Gs are returned to the Bakugan after the battle is over.
  • Revive: All of the user's defeated Bakugan are able to be used again.
  • Scapegoat: The user decides if the battle will continue or end. If the user decides to end the battle, all battling Bakugan return to their players' arsenal.
  • Super Pyrus (Pyrus, Japanese version: Supernova): Swaps the G-Power of your Bakugan with your opponent.
  • Third Judgment: The battle can only start when there are three Bakugan standing on the Gate Card. The battle can only end when one Bakugan is left standing, even if they are on the same team.
  • Trade-Off: If your opponent's Bakugan has 400 Gs or more, it automatically loses.
  • Transformation: Your Bakugan's G-Power becomes equal to your Bakugan with the highest Power Level.
  • Triple Battle: The battle is placed on hold until a third Bakugan is thrown onto the Gate Card.
  • Wall Lock: Nullifies the opponent's ability.
  • Warp Gate: Teleports two Bakugan from one Gate Card to another.

Season 2

In this season, Character Cards are not used. Instead, the first arc only uses Reactor Cards, which are successors to the Attribute Cards from last season. In the second arc, characters start to use new Command Cards and reuse Command Cards from Season 1. BT: The Final Battle introduced Gate Cards that affect the Battle Gear.

Attribute Cards

  • (Attribute) Reactor: This Gate Card gives an increase of 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, or 500 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 50 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 100 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 150 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 200 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 300 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 400 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 500 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.

Command Cards

  • Active Ghost: Automatically defeats the opponent's Bakugan if your Bakugan's Power Level is higher.
  • Battle Release: Returns all Bakugan on the field back to their owners.
  • Change Link Force: Reflects the opponent's ability.
  • Element Merge: Transfers 200 Gs from the opponent to your Bakugan for each Bakugan you have on the field.
  • Flat Power: Brings all Bakugan's current Power Level back to their base level.
  • Forcement Enemy: Adds 100 Gs to all of your Bakugan for each of your opponent's Bakugan on the field.
  • Forcement Wind: Your Bakugan's Power Level increases by 100x the number of additional Bakugan on the field with the same Attribute, including the Bakugan the user of this gate card controls.
  • Land Pressure: Subtracts 200 Gs from each opponent and prevents them from moving.
  • Phantasm (Phantasmorphic): Subtracts 100 Gs from each opponent and prevents them from moving.
  • Power Pressure: If the opponent's Bakugan has 400 Gs or more, they cannot move or activate abilities.
  • Ring Zero: Nullifies the opponent's ability and freezes them in place, which prevents the opponent to activate more abilities.
  • Silent Land: Prevents the opponent from activating any abilities.
  • (Attribute) Spotting Out (Devour): Subtracts 500 Gs from all Bakugan with the Attribute you said.
  • Transducer: Transfers all of the opponent's G-Power to your Bakugan by 50 Gs per second.

Battle Gear

  • Enemy Resetter: Nullifies the opponent's ability and activates Helios MK2's Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.

Season 3

Command Cards are still used in this season and Reactor Gate Cards are rarely used. Command Cards from previous seasons are still used.

Attribute Cards

  • (Attribute) Reactor: This Gate Card gives an increase of 200 or 300 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with your Attribute.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 200 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.
  • (Attribute) Reactor: Adds 300 Gs to all Bakugan on the Gate Card with the Attribute you said.

Command Cards

  • Apoptosis: Reduces the opponent's Power Level to 100 Gs.
  • Ansamon Judgement: The Bakugan with a different Attribute than the owner of this card automatically has their power reduced to 0.
  • (Attribute) Battle Audience: Changes the Attribute of your Bakugan to any Attribute you want, nullifies the opponent's ability and subtracts 500 Gs from all opponents who don't have the Attribute you said.
  • Random Meinzer: Transfers 200 Gs from the opponent Bakugan to your Bakugan for each Bakugan you have on the field. It also prevents the opponent from any abilities while its active.
  • Enemy Down: Subtracts 300 Gs from each opponent.
  • Evil Clear: Nullifies all of the opponents' abilities.
  • Explode: Nullifies the opponent's ability and brings all Bakugan on your team to their base level(s).
  • Freeze Enemy: Subtracts 200 Gs from the opponent and prevents them from activating any abilities.
  • Healing Up: Adds 300 Gs to each Bakugan on your side of the field.
  • Misty Solitude: The opponent's Bakugan cannot hear anything from their owner; therefore, they can't use their abilities. (Should the owner get close enough to affected Bakugan, they can use abilities again.
  • (Attribute) Saver: Nullifies the opponent's ability and BakuNano if you are using a Bakugan with the Attribute you said.
  • Silent Hanger: Subtracts 500 Gs from the opponent and prevents it from moving.

Battle Gear

  • Anger Sign: Subtracts 100 Gs from all other Bakugan on the field and activates Contestir's Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.
  • Gaia Enforcement: Prevents non-Subterra Bakugan from moving and activates Coredem's Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.
  • Gear Barricade (Japanese verison: Gear Blocker): Returns the opponent's Battle Gear back to their owners and activates Plitheon's Level 2 Class Battle Gear ability.
  • Power Ditch (Japanese version: Power Drain): Transfers 500 Gs from the opponent to Akwimos and activates his Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.
  • Power Flatter (Capacity Booster): Brings all Bakugan back to their base levels and activates Dragonoid's Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.
  • Ruby Storm: Adds 400 Gs to Rubanoid and activates his Level 2 Battle Gear Ability.
  • Silent Stalker (Japanese version: Silence Murder): Prevents the opponent from activating any abilities and activates Sabator's Level 3 Class Battle Gear Ability. (Note: According to Nurzak, its a legendary card used by Barodius' Father, possibly a memento of him to Nurzak)
  • Solomon Sabreur: Nullifies the opponent's ability, subtracts 200 Gs from each opponent, and activates the Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability for Aranaut. (Note: It is a special card used by Castle Knights, according to Fabia)
  • Triumph Burning (Japanese version: Rasetsu Burning): Nullifies the opponent's ability, returns the opponent's Battle Gear back to their owners (only if Kraxix is the only Bakugan the owner has) and activates Krakix's Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.
  • Zeno Weakness: Brings the opponent's Power Level back to base level, nullifies the opponent's ability, and activates Lumagrowl's Level 2 Class Battle Gear Ability.

Season 4

Command Cards are used once again in this season, and Reactor Cards are completely phased out. In addition to the Command Cards from previous seasons still being present, newer, more powerful cards that alter the game or battle in some way are now present.

Command Cards

  • Audience Enhancer: Alters the battlefield to make it more advantageous for your Bakugan for the rest of the game.
  • Crime Freeze: Nullifies the opponent's ability and prevents them from moving.
  • Dry Delta: Prevents all players from activating any Aquos abilities. (In the Japanese version, it lowers power level of any Aquos Bakugan in the field and prevents them from raising their power level through abilities).
  • (Attribute) Enforcement: Nullifies the opponent's ability if they are using a Bakugan with a different Attribute than the one you call out.
  • Field Lock: Prevents the opponent from sending in other Bakugan.
  • Ego Meinzer: Increases your Bakugan's Power Level.
  • (Attribute) Nebulous: Works on the opponent if they are using a different Attribute than the one you call out. (Unknown effect, used by Anubias in Agony of Defeat).
  • Record Freeze: Prevents the opponent from activating any abilities that have been previously used.
