Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge[]
In Interspace Showdown, he was revealed to be Marucho's Guardian Bakugan in the intro and that he is a Gundalian Bakugan that teamed up with Marucho shortly after the events of Gundalian Invaders. He later helped the children in the arena that Titanium Dragonoid was battling in due to him not controlling his new powers by protecting them when the buildings were collapsing alongside Taylean.
In Mechtogan Mayhem, He is shown arguing with Taylean and Dan saying he should battle while Dan sits out. Before Marucho and Jack Punt began to battle he gets cocky saying they will win easily causing Marucho to tell him to calm down. he later battled Krakenoid in a jungle like environment. Krakenoid starts off by using fish flop turning invisible and submerging him in water. He then uses Aquos Mine and turns Krakenoid visible. His opponent attacks him with his claw though. Krakenoid then cloned himself and attacked him brutally. Marucho then opened up heptagon mixer causing his power to increase. He then used Abyss Cyclone to attack. However, the battle was interrupted by Zenthon before he could defeat him. He later attempted to battle Zenthon by using fear stream on the robot which caused no damage. He then used hyper stream which proved useless. He was then defeated in one strike. The battle resulted in a draw.
In Disconnect he watches a reply of his fight with Zenthon angry that the Mechtogan had into interrupt his battle. Tristar, Marucho, Shun and Taylen then discuss weather Dan is hiding any info from them. Tristar and Taylen join Marucho and Shun to convince Dan not to fight Anubias only for Dan to fight anyway. He ends up watching the battle which ends in Dan losing.
In Fall From Grace, he battled Zenthon alongside Titanium Dragonoid and Taylean before Zenthon flees and later he watched Titanium Dragonoid's and Taylean's battle against Spyron and Vertexx.
In Tri-Twister Take Down, he and Taylean were battling against the Tri-Twisters and their Cyclone Percivals but were losing since it was three against two. They were later saved by Krowll and Horridian.
In Agony of Defeat, he and Taylean briefly fought against Drago using Core Bunker and Root Core - Battle Bastion to protect Bolcanon and Krakenoid from Thor Buster. They then noticed Drago was acting like a savage.
In BakuNano Explosion, he battled the Bash Brothers and their Darkus and Pyrus Flash Ingrams and won a bit. Marucho (possibly) used Hold Over to prevent the Bash Brothers from moving and using any abilities until the battle's over, but he and Tristar lost due to them using their BakuNanos causing Shun and Taylean to beat them in their place.
He appeared again in Back In Sync. He talked about how he arrived in Bakugan Interspace a long time ago, probably during Gundalian Invaders, and was looking for his destined partner. He met many Brawlers but he felt that they were not for him and if it took him years, he would wait. Then, when he saw Marucho battling, he had realized that Marucho was to be his destined partner. He battled again with Marucho against Krakenoid and Jack Punt. Even though Krakenoid used his BakuNano, Jamsaber, Tristar defeated him.
In Mind Search, he, along with Marucho had decided to enter the announced "Capture the Flag Tourney" in Interspace in order to limit the amount of chaos as well as finishing the battle as soon as possible. Before that, he and Marucho tried to convince Paige and Rafe not to enter, where they refused. Later on, when Boulderon and Wolfurio were badly injured during the brawl with Team Anubias, Tristar made interference and transported them to safety. As a result, Rafe and Paige decide to stick with Marucho's strategy, and Tristar and Wolfurio were able to distract Sellon, her Bakugan Spyron and her Mechtogan Braxion in order to enable Boulderon to take the flag in which they succeed.
In Re-connection, he battled Spyron in the semifinals and won. In the finals, he battled Taylean and lost.
In Triple Threat, he and Taylean battled Horridian and Bolcanon in the finals match. Both his opponents used their Bakunano giving them a hard time. Taylean later took Bolcanon out. He and Taylean were ready to take out Horridian when the battle got interrupted by Mag Mel's Chaos Bakugan invading Interspace.
In Interspace Under Siege, he helped battle the Chaos Bakugan and later used his BakuNano, Crosstriker.
In Gundalia Under Fire, he was shown to be happy to return to Gundalia.
In Battle Lines, he used his Mobile Assault Vehicle for the first time.
In Unlocking the Gate, Dan and Drago gave Tristar and the others a piece of their power which enabled them to call their Mechtogan.
In True Colours, he helps Drago fight against Anubias's Bakugan by using Crosstriker.
In Dangerous Beauty, Tristar is in ball form and is upset that he didn't get the chance to participate in the battle.
In Interspace Armageddon, he joined in the fight against Mag Mel's Chaos Bakugan in Bakugan Interspace before it got deleted.
In Dark Moon, he, Drago, Taylean, Wolfurio, and Boulderon fought to protect Earth and the universe from total destruction but got defeated by Razenoid while trying to protect Drago.
In The Final Takedown, he was still fighting against all the Razen Titans and beat one using the ability Press Impulse. Later he was happy that Drago survived the explosion of the Dark Moon.
Sometime between The Final Takedown and Evil Arrival, Tristar parted ways with Marucho. However, rather than returning to Gundalia, he opted to live on New Vestroia instead.
In Blast From the Past, he helps the Bakugan from New Vestroia to defeat Mechtavius Destroyer, but he was only shown briefly and destroyed quickly by Mechtavius Destroyer.
Because the Brawlers used the Current of Time to go back and destroy Mechtavius Destroyer before he killed him, he is now either living peacefully on New Vestroia or has reunited with Marucho.
Abilities[]
Ability Cards[]
- Abyss Cyclone (Tempest Cyclone): Tristar shoots a cyclone of water from between his hands.
- Fierce Stream (Japanese Version: Dia Stream): Tristar launches a powerful, crescent shaped blast of water from his hand.
- Hyper Stream: Tristar clasps both of his hands together to fire a blast of high pressured water.
- Aquos Mine: Tristar launches energy orbs from his shoulder pads which then scatter into smaller energy blasts that are capable of nullifying the opponent's ability.
- Crush Buster:
- Shield Cyclone: Makes Infinity Tristar immune to Gate Card effects and nullifies the opponent's ability.
- Climb Water: Tristar's lower body turns into water, which not only allows him to move much faster, but also allows him to merge with another Bakugan and makes their power level equal. It also ensures that all subsequent abilities activated by the enemy will target both Tristar and the enemy Bakugan while its active, though Tristar is still vulnerable to damage, essentially becoming a battle of attrition.
- Stun Current: Tristar slams the ground with his palm which summons a large wave of water and subsequently covers both Tristar and any allies around. Tristar can use this ability to get himself and his allies out of tricky situations in battle.
- Grassed Out (Japanese Version: Blau Stealth): Tristar turns both invisible and intangible, making him immune to abilities from other Bakugan and even BakuNano.
- Ground Freeze (Japanese Version: Blau Freeze): Tristar emits a bright light from his body which causes a ring of that same light to appear under an opponent Bakugan. This nullifies the opponent's ability and prevents them from activating new ones. It also prevents opponent's BakuNano from working.
- Round Bunker (Japanese Version: Blau Bunker): Tristar generates a spinning whirlpool shield that he can use to block enemy abilities.
- Hold Over: Tristar generates a blue energy lash from his hand to tie up an opponent's Bakugan. The opponent can't move or use any abilities until the battle is over, but the downside is that BakuNano and Mechtogan can still be used.
- Hyper Pressure: An ability that is very similar to Hyper Stream, though this one appears to be slightly stronger, as Tristar was able to force a Bakugan of Taylean's calibre back on the defensive.
- Pressure Edge (Japanese Version: Thresher Edge): Tristar generates from his hand an energy construct of an electrified fishing hook that he can use as a melee weapon, to ensnare opponents, or block incoming attacks.
- Metal Prowl (Japanese Version: Metal Blau): One of Tristar's most powerful abilities, it transforms him into a mass of energy which allows him to zip around the battlefield at considerable speeds, while also dealing incredible amounts of damage. Metal Prowl is strong enough to dispatch multiple Dreadeon.
- Press Impulse: Quite possibly Tristar's most powerful ability, he generates up to six high pressure streams of his water from his back which then freeze into solid ice before slamming into the opponent. Press Impulse is so strong, it was able to put down a Razen Titan in the season finale.
Physical Game[]
In the game, Infinity Trister is a BakuTactix Bakugan. The Pyrus version has been seen with 600/650/700/750/900/1000 Gs. The Haos version has 600/700/850/900/900/950 Gs. The Aquos version has 650/700/750/800/850/1000 Gs. The Darkus version has 750/850/950/1000/1150 Gs. He has also been seen in Ventus in a Mechtogan Extension Pack (700/750/800/850,950,1050 Gs).
Trivia[]
- His appearance is somewhat similar to Elemental Hero Glow Neos from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, as well as T.G. Striker from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
- His personality is also similar to Plitheon's.
- In the Japanese version, some of his abilities start with Blau, German for blue, matching the color for Aquos attribute.
- Given that Trister's full name is Infinity Trister, it is possible that he is the evolved form of a Bakugan, much like Infinity Dragonoid and Infinity Helios are evolutions of Ultimate Dragonoid and Helios MK2, respectively.
- Given that Preyas and Elfin/Minx Elfin can change attributes, Angelo/Diablo Preyas are hybrids of Aquos with Haos (Angelo) and Pyrus (Diablo), Akwimos was briefly changed into a Darkus Bakugan by Jake's Darkus Battle Audience Command Card in Hostile Takeover, and Radizen could turn into the Aquos-Subterra hybrid Betakor by fusing with Subterra Roxtor, Infinity Trister is the only of Marucho's partners to be a purely Aquos Bakugan and remain so for all his appearances.
