Plot[]
Lightning discovers a new Bakugan, Artulean, leading to an unhealthy rivalry with Howlkor
Summary[]
The Awesome Ones are inaugurating their new field. Lightning discovers something which turns out to be a new Bakugan named Artulean, who thinks that Lightning is his new partner. Lightning calls Howlkor, after the latter asked him to do so. Soon Howlkor and Artulean decide to battle each other. Artulean ultimately loses against Howlkor. Lightning takes care about the defeated Artulean, even serving him something to eat and drink. Artulean plays with Howlkor against the latters will, even riding on him. Shortly after the Awesome Ones discover a mess, caused by Artulean, who seems to be particularly interested in playing with Howlkor and pranking him. The Awesome Ones decide that something needs to be done against that. Shortly after that Magnus appears again, disguised as a Bakugan advisor, who offers his help to the Awesome Ones, which they accept. At the same time Lightning runs away with Artulean, but Dan and Magnus convince him to give Artulean to Magnus. Shortly after that Magnus blows his cover and starts a battle using Artulean, reminding him of the fact that the Awesome Ones considered him a problematic Bakugan. Magnus is also using a device with which he controls Artulean. While Dan realizes that he has no choice but to attack Artulean with Drago, Lightning wants to prevent him from doing so. Magnus calls Nillious and wonders why Dan still hasn't realized that he is Magnus and not a Bakugan advisor. Nillious successfully attacks Drago. Meanwhile Lightning calls Howlkor, who spares Artulean in the last second, rather than completing the attack as it would be expected. This reminds Artulean of another incident where Howlkor refused to attack him. Artulean soon realizes that Magnus just wanted to use him against the Awesome Ones, after being further convinced by Lightning. Magnus is still sure of victory and thinks that Artulean and Howlkor are too weak. However, soon the other brawlers arrive, which makes Magnus leave. After that the Awesome Ones discover that Artulean and Howlkor always used to be friends, that Artulean just wants to tease Howlkor a bit and that Lightning was right all along.
