Tom Ascheim has been appointed as the new president of WarnerMedia's division of children, young adults and classics, this according to the information provided by Kidscreen.From now on, he will have the task of controlling Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Adult Swim and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) worldwide. This implies that it will also have under its control the subsidiaries of these channels in Latin America, especially including Cartoon Network and Boomerang.Another more important aspect of his new role will be to collaborate with his colleagues at Warner Bros. and WarnerMedia's global advertising sales and distribution team to build, improve and boost the ratings of the channels owned by the brand that will have office. In addition, he will report to Ann Sarnoff, CEO of WarnerMedia.Ascheim has served as President of Freeform since 2013, where he oversaw original programming and acquisitions, franchise management, marketing, sales and operations, and responsibility for the overall strategic and creative direction of the channel. In 2016, he directed that channel through a rebranding, changing ABC Family's focus. He also held large positions at Nickelodeon Television and Nickelodeon Digital TV Networks.
